The Hévíz Water Buffalo Duathlon (Hévízi Bivaly Duatlon) offers a unique winter sports challenge combining approximately 10 km (actual distance 9.9 km) of paddling with about 12 km (actual distance 11.5 km) of running. It’s the perfect opportunity for those seeking new challenges or wishing to test their mettle in a competitive environment.
Event Details:
- Limited Participation: The event is capped at 250 participants, ensuring a competitive yet intimate atmosphere.
- Start Time: The race kicks off at 9:00 AM at the southern outflow of Lake Hévíz, near the sluice, where kayaks, canoes, and SUPs will enter the water.
- Transition Area: The paddle-run transition takes place at Fenékpuszta, before the 76 road exit.
- Finish Line: Competitors, their companions, and fans can enter the Hévíz Lake Bath’s beach area without a ticket during the event.
- Green Program: Emphasizing environmental sustainability, the event strives to implement zero-waste solutions wherever possible.

- Open Kayak and Canoe Categories: Individual male and female (kayak/canoe combined), individual SUP male and female categories, 2-person teams (male, female/mixed), and 3-person teams (male, female/mixed).
