Winter Burial – Spring Festival Masked Carnival in Balatonalmádi – Téltemető-Tavaszköszöntő Maskarás Mulatság 2024 Balatonalmádi

Free parking is available in front of the Pannonia Cultural Center and Library (Pannónia Kulturális Központ és Könyvtár).
Program
- 2:30 PM: Craft workshop, making of kiszebábok (Hungarian traditional straw puppets) with the help of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service Balatonalmádi Group (Magyar Máltai Szeretetszolgálat Balatonalmádi Csoportja).
- 3:30 PM: Masked procession with music from the Pannonia Cultural Center and Library (Pannónia Kulturális Központ és Könyvtár) to the Szent Erzsébet liget.
- 4:00 PM: Opening speech by Kinga Gellértné Magyar (Gellértné Magyar Kinga), director of the Pannonia Cultural Center.

- Experience Hungarian tradition: The Winter Burial – Spring Festival Masked Carnival is a revival of an ancient Hungarian tradition. We celebrate the end of winter and the arrival of spring by burning a kiszebáb (straw puppet), dancing, and having fun.
