What this site is

Hungary Unlocked (hungaryunlocked.com) is an independent Budapest and Hungary travel guide written from a local's perspective. By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, the internet is big and we won't take it personally.

Our content

Everything we publish (text, graphics, original images) belongs to Hungary Unlocked and is protected by copyright. Quote us with a link, fine. Republishing whole guides without permission, not fine. Some images are used under Creative Commons licences with attribution to their creators; those remain their creators' property.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site (Booking.com, Viator, GetYourGuide and similar) earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never decide what we recommend: we tell you which bath to skip either way. Full details in theaffiliate disclosure.

Accuracy and liability

Prices, opening hours, and menus in Budapest change faster than we'd like. We date our price claims and refresh guides regularly, but content is provided "as is": we can't guarantee every detail is current on the day you travel, and we're not liable for losses arising from reliance on it. Check the venue's official channels before you build a day around a specific price or opening time.

Links to third-party sites (venues, booking platforms, official transport pages) lead to places we don't control. Their content, terms, and privacy practices are their own.
