Sixteen pools, certified sulfurous medicinal water and children’s slides give Kehida plenty of variety. Parking and a locker are already included in the standard ticket, making a family day easier to plan.
What Kehida Termál Actually Is
Kehidakustány is a village of a few thousand people in northern Zala county, and what sits in it is a 16-pool complex split across an adventure side and a medicinal side, plus a wave pool, a Kneipp cold-dip, an outdoor adventure pool, and the separately ticketed Aurum Wellness & Spa.
The medicinal center adds another reason to visit, with underwater massage and other bookable treatments. If you would like a treatment, ask the center about availability and arrangements before traveling.
When the Higher Tariff Applies, and What the Ticket Includes
The higher tariff applies on Saturdays and Sundays, during school holidays, on public holidays and in the date ranges published by the operator. A standard bath ticket includes parking, a locker and access to the certified sulfurous medicinal water; Sauna Oázis requires a separate ticket. A discounted ticket is available for the final three hours before closing.
Food options include self-service dining, an à la carte restaurant and a café. The entrance is in the old station building.
What Pools and Facilities Are There
The complex combines adventure bathing, medicinal pools and sauna facilities. Its online pool list is especially useful when planning a day with different ages: you can check which pools are operating and see temperature readings with their update times.
Sauna World is a separate ticket on top of entry (2,400-2,650 HUF for 3 hours, 3,200-3,550 HUF all-day), and towel and bathrobe rental works the standard Hungarian way: 800 HUF for a towel with a 6,000 HUF refundable deposit, 1,000 HUF for a bathrobe with a 14,000 HUF deposit, 300 HUF for a sauna towel. Underwater jet massage runs about 6,500 HUF for 20 minutes, a full medical massage around 9,900 HUF for 25 minutes, both bookable through the Medicinal Center.

How to Get to Kehida Termál From Budapest
Kehidakustány sits in northern Zala county, roughly 203 km southwest of Budapest, about 15 km short of Hévíz and around 20 km from Keszthely.
By car. Allow roughly two hours from Budapest via the M7 in normal traffic. Hévíz is nearby, so you can choose by the bathing experience you want or visit both during a longer stay.
By train and a local connection. Plan the journey via Keszthely, then check the bus connection to Kehidakustány or arrange a taxi. Allow time for the transfer and check the return journey before setting off.
Driving is the simplest way to reach Kehidakustány. If you use public transportation, check both the outward and return connections before choosing your bath ticket.
Planning a Day That Suits You
Choose the ticket around the kind of day you want. The three-hour option suits a focused swim or thermal visit when you are staying nearby. A full day gives a family room for lunch, changing and breaks without watching the clock. The discounted final-three-hours ticket is a different option: it ties your visit to closing time.

Festetics Palace in Keszthely makes a more substantial cultural outing: the historic library and the landscaped palace park give you two different reasons to go. It involves a separate journey from Kehida. Choose the palace before a shorter bath visit, or give it the next morning if you want a full family pool day.
