What This Place Is
Forni di Napoli does exactly two things and refuses a third: Neapolitan pizza from a wood-fired oven and fresh pasta made in house. The operator’s own tagline reads “Neapolitan Pizza and Fresh Italian Pasta”, and the title wall backs the focus with results: European Champion Pizzeria 2026 and fourth place at the 2026 world pizza championship, per the operator’s own pages.
There are two rooms. The original sits on the Nagykörút at Szent István körút 7-9; the newer Bazilika branch at Október 6. utca 19 puts the same kitchen two minutes from St. Stephen’s Basilica, on the street that has quietly become the best few food blocks in District V. Tonichi, the ramen counter, is two doors down, and Hachi Dezā, the Japanese dessert bar, is one street over on Zrínyi utca.

What to Eat
Order the thing the oven exists for. A Neapolitan pizza here comes blistered at the rim and soft in the centre, the style that is eaten with knife and fork in Naples and judged by its cornicione, not its crunch. If you know the style, you know why the kitchen wins medals for it; if you do not, calibrate your expectations away from the Roman crisp-thin school before the first bite, because the soft centre is the point, not a flaw.
The second half of the menu is fresh pasta made on site, which is what to order on a second visit or if half your table wants a change. The operator publishes the full menu on its own site, and that page is where prices live; we do not reprint numbers here that the kitchen can change with the season.
When and Which Branch
The Bazilika branch is the visitor’s branch: daily 12:00-24:00 with the kitchen open until 23:00, which makes it one of the very few real kitchens in the quarter still cooking after the dinner rush dies. Late arrivals from a concert or a bath evening land here. The Szent István körút room serves the Nagykörút side of town and puts you near the tram 4/6 line.
